Viviana, the Moon Queen of the Elvhenan, the Hero of Ferelden, the Warden Commander

Červen 28, 2012

In the Age of the Dragons there was a Grey Warden called Fiona. This beautiful elven maiden together with warden Duncan and King Maric faced the infamous Architect, whom she recognized as one of the ancient tevinter magisters of old. The raven haired girl in her desperation secretly became a blood mage, a maleficar. After giving away her son Alistair to his father Maric, she realized that by using blood magic she helped the Forgotten Gods of the Void to influence Thedas once more.

But in her dreams she saw all the Creators including the Maker and they told her not to despair, for even blood magic could serve the Good in the end. Thus she contacted her admired friend, First Enchanter Orsino, and lied with him under the gaze of stars in ancient temple filled with lyrium. A baby girl was born as it was foretold by the Creators and Fiona named her child Viviana.

Though little Viviana resembled her parents, she was the most beautiful Elf in Thedas. Not only were her features a work of art, her eyes were blue like sea and her hair as white as snow. Blue tattoos marked her face even before she was born just as her lips, cheeks and eyelids were naturally teal. She was a somniari, a Dreamer, a seer and and wise she was as well.

Human templars took the girl away, though she lived for few years with her mother both in Lothering and later in Denerim Alianege. Fiona was not warned that she would lose her second child as well and in anger she turned to blood magic again and as the Grand Enchanter who much later led the mages into rebellion.

Viviana thanks to her scrying powers predicted her coming to the Circle Tower of Mages in Calenhad. Soon she became the most talented student in the history of the Circle, and Senior Enchanters Wynne and Uldred soon noticed the child progeny. She became a favorite pupil of the First Enchanter Irwing himself and secret love of templar Cullen.

Just after she broke the record of quickest Harrowing in history, she and her maleficar friend Jowan got in trouble with the templars, which she predicted as well. Through foreseen path she escaped the Tower with the Grey Warden Duncan, who made her one of them. Little did he know that just like her mother she would never be corrupted by the Blight and that it would only enhance her powers and immortality.

In Ostagard she met her secret half-brother Alistair, who immediately fell in love with her. They two alone survived the following battle thanks to Flemeth, the Shapeshifter, the Witch of the Wilds. Flemeth thought she was the puppeteer, but Viviana was even greater seer than her and so she predicted every step of both the Archdemon and the Flemeth.

Viviana was the most powerful somniari since Andraste herself. The Creators themselves guided her and this time she already was an awesome spirit healer and commanded powers of ice, earth and thunder. From the witch Morrigan she learned the art of Shapeshifting, one of the many ways lost to the Elvhen. Though Viviana became the only friend of Morrigan, the witch still found herself scared when she watched how powerful Viviana was.

So infamous was she that the whole Ferelden already called her THE WARDEN. Even the quinari Sten bowed before her might and wisdom just as did the famous Leliana of Orlais. Both Leliana and Alistair desperately fell in love with her. It was not only her beauty, which invoked such a desire among most mortals. Viviana had the most beautiful voice in the world and with she could persuade even dragon into calming down. Her enchanted voice could only be outmatched by blood magic, which had negative side effects of its own.

Alistair and Viviana lost their virginity together, although Viviana already knew about their bond of blood. Even later when she told the truth to Alistair in false tears, he would not stop loving her. He was her slave for eternity, whether he realized it not.

She led her companions to her former home and prison, the Tower of Mages, where she recruited her mentor Wynne and slaughtered the blood mages, demons and abominations including Uldred. Even Irwing himself was saved by her. From now on she would be worshipped as goddess by these mages for the following decades.

Wynne became her another unknowing pawn just as the golem Shale and the dwarf Oghren. Eventually she was ambushed by her foreseen mate, Zevran. The assassin just like all Elvhen had a certain magical talent, so she taught him lost nature summonings of long forgotten elven rangers of old. He could melt into shadows and dance in battle like a god thanks to her training. She showed him how to use elvhen voice and thus he bested all known assassins, rangers and bards in history.

The fate of Tribune Almalexia

Duben 1, 2012

So you wish to know my name, mortal? My name is very precious to me for it is the only thing permanent about me. I posed as many things and appeared in many roles during my centuries of life, yet I never allowed myself to forget my own name. Almalexia.

Ancient Chimer witch-queen

Almalexia, elven goddess of love, fertility and passion

I can still recall my father calling me by name for feast every morn. Not that I can remember his name or his face. All my memories about Aldmeri Cradle are suspiciously chaotic and scarce. Often I wondered if someone played with my memory. Sometimes I suspect I myself cursed my mind to forget. I know Aldmeri was wonderful and beautiful. I know there was both pleasure and pain to be found. I think there were some enemies of mine, but all is clouded in doubt and dust.

Elven Aldmeri Continent

Elven Aldmeri Continent

What I remember clearly is how my people escaped from the Cradle of Mer and how we arrived on Summerset Isles. We were both devastated and excited, for the new worlds ahead of us were both dangerous and promising. Me and my sisters wanted to celebrate Sanguine through sensual pleasures and Azura through our love. But others abhorred our Daedra Gods. They called us heretics and abominations. So we escaped again.

Morrowind, the Home of the Dark Elves

Morrowind, the Home of the Dark Elves

We fled to Morrowind with our wise prophet Veloth and settled in that dangerous land. We called ourselves Chimer and laughed at the foolishness of our Altmer oppressors, for we have found beautiful keeps, palaces and ports. How we loved the sinister landscape of Morrowind with its Ashlands, bleak forests of mushrooms and mysterious swamps. Yet we overlooked the most precious treasure to be found in our new home. The Heart of Lorkhan.

The Heart was hidden beneath Red Mountain in the grasp of our fair-weather friends- the Dwemer. With it they abandoned the worship of Daedra Gods and created wonders beyond imagination of your primitive people, mortal. But we were blind to their heresy, power and plans. In happiness we forged our new realm of Morrowind. I fell in love with a male Chimer for the first time then. His name was Nerevar and he was great in all ways I could think of. Though I kept many girls as my lovers, I married him and allowed him to keep both his male and female pets, for his heart was utterly mine and our people have never felt threatened by our natural desires.

For the first time since leaving the Aldmeri Cradle of Mer was I worshipped for my beauty as I deserved. People praised me as their Queen and all Chimer adored me just as they feared my husband. But the age of prosperity was about to end when we learned about plans of our false allies. The Dwemer intended to use the Heart of Lorkhan for conquering Morrowind. Quickly we went to stop them and stop them we did.

Dwemer couple, the Dwarves of Skyrim, Hammerfall and Morrowind

Even I do not know what happened to the Dwemer. I was there and thus I can confirm that all of them disappeared as ghosts in a blink of an eye. Many thought them destroyed, but I suspected treachery. I told Nerevar to preserve their weapons and tools. Do not listen to the stories about poison candles, mortal. Nobody regretted death of Nerevar more than me. Ashlanders are right however when it comes to my treachery regarding the promise I made to Nerevar. It was I who seduced both Sotha Sil and Vivec and convince them to use the power of the Heart for the purpose of ascendency.

We became the Gods. We spat into the face of Azura herself as she tried to deny us our rightful place. We laughed even as she transformed our people into Dunmer, for we retained our golden skin through our godhood. As the Tribunal we ruled over Morrowind even as the foolish Dagoth Ur tried to oppose us. I have personally faced Mehrunes Dagon, the Lord of Destruction ,and defeated him. I was a goddess just as I deserved!

People praised me as their merciful matron. My House Indoril spread my kind words among Dunmer and my wrath among their enemies. I was divine!!! It is the fate of the great to be victim of lesser conspirators. Vivec was jealous of me and allied himself with Dagoth Ur, Sotha Sil, Azura and Nerevarine. Not even I could stand a chance against their combined strikes.

They destroyed the Heart of Lorkhan. My godhood was in peril. I knew I was losing ground. I was losing sanity. It is hard for a Goddess to lose her sight, youth and power. I had a plan, but it was risky and it failed. In the arms of my beloved treacherous Nerevarine I died right after I killed Sotha Sil in revenge.

Sotha Sil, the Dark Elven God of Sorcery

Sotha Sil, the Dark Elven God of Sorcery

But as you see, my dear mortal, I did not bet on a single card, oh no! For some time my bloodline prospered outside of Morrowind. Among the Altmer, Dunmer and Bosmer in Cyrodiil my blood flew and so I could be reborn one day just as Nerevar was reborn in the form of Nerevarine. Yet all my distant offspring seemed too fragile and common to make a right vessel for me. There was only one exception.

Long ago I accepted a visitor. He called himself the Snow Prince and claimed to be the last son of the father with the same title. He even claimed to be the last of his race, the legendary Snow Elves of Skyrim. In silence I listened to his stories about war between his lost people and the Nords, about their later enslavement in the hands of Dwemer. He was a noble battlemage and reminded me of my long dead Nerevar. I mated with him and in secret I had born him a daughter. Since then her line prospered on Summerset Isles.

When I died my spirit was reborn in the babe of this bloodline. My own blood in its veins allowed me to possess it just as the blood of the Snow Elves allowed me later to recall the long lost knowledge of Snow Mer of Skyrim. I grew up, scarcely remembering who I was. When I finally remembered I forsake my new false name and named myself Almalexia again. They considered me an Altmer, but I was much more. I was a hybrid of Chimer and Falmer with memories of ancient queen and goddess.

I went here in Skyrim in search for the long lost power of the Snow Elves. The Eye of Magnus is it called and I shall not rest till you tell me, where it is, my dear little mortal. The Heart of Lorkhan is no more, but the Eye shall make me greater than ever. As I walk the frozen lands of dragons I remember more and more. Soon I shall regain my godhood and this time there will be no Tribunal, only me. My ancient rivals among Psijics and Aldmeri Dominion themselves shall unknowingly deliver the Eye into my hands. I shall slaughter the Nords and banish Imperials just as I should have done back then in Morrowind. I shall raise forgotten Snow Elves as my people and regain my rightful place in the order of things!!!

Morathi, the Hag Sorceress of Cytharai

Srpen 7, 2011
Morathi, the First Bride of Khaine

Morathi, the First Bride of Khaine

It is said Slann Lord Kroak chose four favouried elven apprentices of magic. These Elves were Astarielle the Everqueen, Caledor Dragontamer, Thyridor of Saphery and Morathi the Raven Maiden. It is of little surprise that these Elves wielded vast powers and wisdom. Morathi was blessed by the element of water, while the powers of earth, fire and air were given to other apprentices. When Chaos came, the nature of magic changed. The Four Gods of Chaos claimed four elements and released their own winds of magic into the world.

Slaanesh took over the former realm of water and Morathi just like the others had to choose instead some of the winds of magic. The winds of Death and Shadow were drawn to her spite and in despair she swore vengeance upon Slaanesh. The Daemons of Slaanesh in fear knelt before the Dark Queen and she learned from them the true nature of Chaos. Slaanesh was only secondary interested in mortals, his primary goal was to gain upper hand over the Other Three Ruinous Powers.

Thus she forged eternal pact between herself and the Dark Father of the Cytharai. Together the Elven Witch and Slaaneshi Daemons could trick even insane pawns of Tzeentch. It is her ultimate goal to let Druchii claim whole world in the name of Slaanesh, Eret Khial and their children. Even then she wont stop. Her son Malekith would raise his people and invade the realms of other Chaos Gods and change the whole Universe forever. It is through the Hag Sorceress that the weakest of the Fourth has greates influence on her world. Yet she always has upper hand and once she claims the secrets of the Old Ones from the wretched Slaan, she will take her rightful place among the gods!

Elven Naaru Elune and Anshe ?

Srpen 7, 2011

We Archmages of Dalaran have always been fascinated with religion of the Elves. While most people believe that it was humans who taught the High Elves about the Light, we of Kirin Tor know better. Though the Queldorei have altered their teachings about the Eternal Sun to match the view of the Church of Light and Silver Hand, they channeled the golden magic of Light together with Arcane long before our kind found its way from barbarism.

Naaru Elune and Anshe

Naaru Elune and Anshe

According to legends of ancient races of Kalimdor, the Titans left our world shortly after they imprisoned the Old Gods. Soon two strange visitors came to Azeroth. Though incorporeal by then, they used to be mortal once. On Azeroth they found one of the seeds of the Titans, from which their own former race was once born. Elune, the Silver One, wanted to manipulate these seeds into becoming the same advanced race from which the Naaru originated. But Anshe, the Golden One, had little believe in mentioned brutes. He withdraw to Sun, where he slept in its blazing core for centuries.

Meanwhile Elune has transformed into its former mortal elven shell, which she abandoned long time ago during the Forgotten War between Naaru and Voidwalkers. She has found her home on Moon, which was closer to her beloved Azeroth. She contacted vile trolls and led them to the Well of Eternity used its powers to quicken the evolution of the trolls into the Kaldorei. Then she spawned Cenarius, the Demigod of the Night Elves. For thousands of years she nurtured her children until the War of the Ancients.

Elven Naaru Golden Sun Father Aparo and Silver Mother Moon Elune

Elven Naaru Golden Sun Father Aparo and Silver Mother Moon Elune

Then Anshe awakened and blamed Elune for bringing Burning Legion into Azeroth. He spotted a group of exiled Highborne in Lordareon and saw potential in them. He too retake his mortal body chose the High Elves as his favourite children. He blessed their Sunwell with his divine powers. This shows that the original Sunwell was source of holy magic just as the new one renewed by Draenai Prophet Velen.

The High Elves have founded the Brotherhood of Light. These High Elf Priests would gain loyalty of whole Alliance and thus control of the religious beliefs in whole Azeroth. Today the Blood Elves try to use the Divine Magic of Eternal Sun as a way of escaping their Arcane Addiction.  The Blood Knights and Blood Priests see their own race as the chosen and favoured by the Sun-Light and look down upon holy magic of lesser races.

World of Warcraft : Cataclysm – český popis datadisku

Srpen 16, 2010

Představují navíc hordskou alternativu roztomilých a ztřeštěných gnómů.

Obsadivše elementální rovinu zemního živlu zvanou Deepholm, černý leviathan způsobil děsivá zemětřesení a erupce napříč Azerothem, ničíc tak náznaky rovnováhy vybojované hrdiny Aliance a Hordy během posledních let.

Deepholm však není jediná živelná říše zmítaná neklidem. Megalomanská královna Azshara a její fanatičtí nagové obsadili vodní říši živelného poloboha zvaného Neptulon. Pokud bývalá královna nočních elfů uskuteční své zvrácené plány, Aliance i Horda budou ztraceny.

Mezitím nespoutané živly ničí vesnici Auberdine, Pustiny orků, ostrovy skřetů a nesčetně dalších domovů nejrozličnějších bytostí.ˇ

Lady Sylvanas: ,,Copak to není zřejmé?

sorceressFirst Nemesis: The Naggarothi Sorceresses

Listen, apprentices, and listen well, for these are the most dangerous of our foes. They are the embodiment of daemons inside us. They are our wicked images in the mirror, they are the hated Sorceresses of Naggaroth.

Never underestimate these beautiful monsters, for even I, the most powerful mage in the whole world, was often surprised by their power.

Some of you chose to study further just one of the eight winds of magic and the same counts for few of the sorceresses. No sorceress shall however wield the winds of Ghur, Azyr, Hysh or Ghyran.

It is easy to guess why: magic and psyche of its wielder are always closely connected and druchii society would hardly produce a maiden, which would be ruthless enough to become a sorceress and had psychic affinity for one of the mentioned winds at the same time.

Pragmatic Dark Elves have no reason to be interested in these Arcane Arts further as my studies confirmed:

The Sorceresses of Ghrond can best any Azyr user when it comes to seeing future and studying fate. With forbidden rituals connected with Morai Heg ( known also as Ereth Khial ) sorceresses can read the threads of fate much easier than we do, for unlike us they are foolish and mad enough to look into forbidden Abyss itself.

Naggarothi have also no need for Ghyran because rituals full of black magic and sacrifices allow them to produce rich harvest without actually healing their cursed southern lands.

Ghyran is useless for druchii for they they have always enslaved their beasts and the idea of befriending them seems ridiculous to Naggarothi.

Healers have bad position in druchii society, it is also known that Dark Arts allow sorceresses to heal even mortal wounds which would be far beyond mere Hysh user. Sorceresses never banish deamons with Hysh for they prefer to enslave and bound them.

FDruchii sorceress, the Bride of Malekithew sorceresses may choose to become vessels of Aqshy energy. Dark Arts are more powerful even in battlefield, but druchii maiden can master pyromancy much more quickly without spending decades by mastering Dhar.

Every druchii sorceress is extremely ambitious, but very few of them are excentric and even fewer hot-blooded. These few quickly realize how dangerous their nature is in treacherous society of druchii.

Thus they need to leave the Convent and join armies as soon as possible before their fiery temper becomes their doom. The flame-magic of Aqshy is natural path for these girls and it was they who helped to invent such terrible weapons as Dragon-breath.

Shyish flows strongly in the Land of Chill. Sorceresses playing with lore of death unlike our mages do not hesitate to experiment with the most dangerous necromantic powers. They do however only rarely use necromancy in battlefield. Talking with the dead is ability appreciated by lot Dark Elves, Sorceresses obsessed with Shyish are often associated with temples of Khaine and Morai Heg.

The most treacherous, deceitful and manipulative novices of the Convents become quickly interested in the wind Ulgu. Unlike users of Dhar these women are absolutely sane and thus more dangerous vipers than the others. You would rarely meet them in the battle for they are the puppeteers and do not put themselves in danger.

Magic of the Chamon is very important to the Dark Elves. Novices with affinity for this wind are trained and sent to countless forges across the Naggaroth. My studies confirm that sorceresses responsible for performing metal magic are trained separately from the others- in some special fortress of the Convent somewhere around the Hotek`s Columm. A mage of the Asur would hardly have to face one of them, since they only rarely leave druchii smiths. They are famed for enchanting metal called galvorn, which is used for products as dalakoi, draich, uraithen, drannach, keikalla, ghlaith and lakelui.

Most common is the lore of Dhar, the Black Magic, the Dark Arts, the damned Sorcery. Most Sorceresses choose to study this terrible magic and these are the ones you will often have to fight.

As we cumulate all eight winds into energy of Qhaysh, so do Sorceresses smash all colors of magic into Dhar. If Qhaysh is white and multicolored at the same time, then Dhar is black and somehow also colorless darkness.

Sorceresses are our most feared and despised foes, they can channel incredible amount of warp-energy. Powers they summoned can easily get out of their control and cause havoc among their own troops, but they can also cast spells, which are far beyond our abilities.

Their spells are commonly of destructive nature, try to dispel as many of them as you can. Always try to counter their efforts to break structure of space, for most powerful Sorceresses can use huge amount of Dhar to create Vortex sucking mortals to hell-like realms.

Remember that sorceresses can often sacrifice mortals during battle in order to make their spells more penetrable. Some of them are able to summon and control daemons, Naggarothi armies can be often accompanied by regiments of summoned daemons.

Sorceresses used to be our rivals, remember how old their lore is, never underestimate their ability to match us. It is essential to prepare yourselves for a chance of facing a sorceress when opposing a Dark Elf army.

Remember, apprentices, when you become famous battlemages of Ulthuan, you must protect her armies, you must unleash power of magic upon her enemies and counter vile efforts of their magic casters. The same counts for Sorceresses of the Dark Elves, do not be fooled by their beauty, know no mercy when facing them, do not hesitate to strike them down.

Teclis of the White Tower

The history of Naggarothi whores

Even before the coming of Chaos, during the idyllic reign of the Everqueen, in the time of the Old Ones, dark shrines could be found on Ulthuan.

Dark caverns, entrances to the Underwolrd are omnipresent in our world and it is there where power of wretched Cytharai flows strongly and visibly.

In forgotten times Morai Heg changed from the ancient hag into a dark beauty Ereth Khial and with wretched Slaanesh she spawned sinister elven gods into our world.

Naturaly Asuryan banished Cytharai and their wretched mother into the underworld, but gates to the Mirai remained opened and since then we had to appease these vile deities from time to time.

Most of these forbidden shrines are located in Nagarythe and the northern New World, but Elves as Gilead confirmed that these dangerous shrines can be found even in the Old World.

Morathi, High PriestessSince the time of the Everqueen we had to appease these wicked gods in order to preserve balance and harmony on Ulthuan. Thus few priests and priestesses were dispatched to tend the dark places in Ulthuan. Most notable of these shadowy creatures was high priestess of Ereth Khial- the damned Morathi.

According to the oldest records in our glorious White Tower of Hoeth, Morathi was always as ambitious as we remember. Everqueen Astarielle used to call her “annoying loud raven”. It seems Morathi always wanted Ulthuan to appreciate her goddess more and thus respect more Morathi herself.

Back then can be traced first mentions of the archaic form of the Convent of the Sorceresses. Priestesses of Ereth Khial were capable of using Shyish and Ulgu and Morathi was the most powerful of them. As the High priestess she quickly convinced the others that Everqueen was prohibiting the worshipping of their goddess in order to sustain utter devotion of Ulthuan to Isha.

Northern Ulthuan was a savage land back then, inhabited by few nomadic tribes of wild dark haired elves Malteeras (People of the Northern Reaches), who had little contact with the Old Ones. The new-founded Sisterhood quickly gained utter devotion of these brute people.

Then it happened. The Chaos came. Daemons came upon Ulthuan and her people. Mysterious Aenarion had risen, leading the Elves to countless victories.

With the tragic death of his Everqueen, Aenarion drew the Widowmaker and soon he found Morathi in a clutch of warband of Slaaneshi deamons.

It was then when Morathi grasped the chance to take control over Ulthuan. She convinced Aenarion to establish new kingdom- the cursed Nagarythe.

Morathi was native to these lands and it was easy for her to present the wielder of the Widowmaker as a demigod to the bloodthirsty dark-haired elves of the North.

With the coming of Chaos the Elves were more vulnerable to their weaknesses. Soon the worship of Cytharai became omnipresent in Nagarythe.

The female priests of Morai Heg, Atharti and Hekarti quickly acknowledged Morathi as their own twisted form of dark Everqueen. Cults of deities such as Khaine or Anath Raema were associated with more primal, almost primitive kinds of magic and Morathi was actually never able to take control over these cults directly.

Especially Khainaties became thorn in her backside, numerous thanks to warlike nature of Nagaryethe and favor of the Widowmaker and leaded by wretched Hag Queens.

Hag Queens (Tulluch) were dangerous warrior priestesses associated with Khaine and his favorite sister Anath Raema. They always fought in the first ranks against demons and were admired by common people of Nagaryethe.

Most hated rival became Hellebron, young maiden capable of slaying Greater Daemon by herself. Hag Queens became so prominent that other female priestesses banded together more than ever before.

We Elves are naturally associated with magic. Three realms were famed for their mages back then: Nagaryethe, Caledor and Saphery. Elves with extreme affinity for arcane energy were born in all elven realms, but it was and is especially true when it comes to Saphery. There mighty magelords of old perfected the Art of Qhaysh, besting even Slann themselves.

Fiery mages from Caledor were friends of Dragons and often smashed whole armies of daemons with orange flames before battle even started. You must understand, young apprentices, how strong was magic back then, with no Vortex to reduce mighty energies of Chaos pouring from the Northern Gate.

Countless weapons of fearsome power were forged back then in both Caledor and Nagarythe, weapons often more dangerous than daemons themselves.

Countless cities were able to survive fury of deamons only because of magical wards surrounding them. This was especially truth when it came to Nagaryethe. This realm knew no peace, daemons never stopped to assault it.

Thus countless war-sorcerers could be found among Aenerion´s bloodthirsty warriors. These male warlocks were numerous, but their power was nothing to the vast forces witchelf2commanded by sorceresses of Morathi.

Sorceresses were actually priestesses of the forbidden elven goddesses, they would refuse to wield Qhaysh into battle, instead channeling just Shyish and Ulgu. Using Dhar was unthinkable back then, although few rituals associated with Hekarti allowed them to do so from time to time.

Daemons would learn to hate these wicked sorceresses although their power could still be easily matched by our fellow Sapherians. Hag Queens, now called also witches, quickly learned to hate treacherous priestesses of Morathi and this rivalry continues to these days.

Sorceresses would wield magic, treachery, prophecy and seduction as their weapons and even Aenarion wary of them. Mortahi used them to control people of Nagarythe and it was her hidden ambition to become new Everqueen. She believed she could become embodiment of Morai Heg as Astarielle was an avatar of Isha.

When Caledor came up with his plan, Morathi cursed him as a fool, for if magical Vortex was created, she and her sorceresses shall no longer be goddesses and no more godlike morathiweapons could be produced without huge amount of magic in the world.

Yet the Vortex still came to be, daemons were banished, Widowmaker returned, Aenarion was dead and new Phoenix King was to be elected.

With Bel Shanaar as the new Phoenix King and Yvraine as the new Everqueen, Morathi found herself alone in the Nagarythe, only place where she still had some real power.

She decided to take control over whole Ulthuan through her sorceresses who started to convert all elven realms. They became priestesses of secret cults, cults associated with forbidden Cytharai.

It should be noted, that this worshipping had only little common with original sacrifices to the Cytharai in the old days. Sorceresses would now gain favor of Cytharai by using very Dhar itself. No longer shall they just use the power of Shyish or Ulgu, now they would call upon Loec, Morai Heg and Ellinill through forbidden sorcery.

The Cults of Excess were also closely linked with Chaos, few Hag Queens openly converted from Khaine to Khorne and their new insane cults survived to these days.

Bel Shanaar was seen as an usurper by the cultists, he was embodiment of weak Asuryan and Everqueen was a spawn of fragile Isha. Malekith would be seen as an avatar of Slaanesh, the arch nemesis of Asuryan and Morathi was seductive daughter of Ereth Khial, always ready to oppose Isha and her bastards.

As Malekith fought countless battles against daemons, cultists would see Chaos as mere power and way to glory, daemons as potential slaves and sorceresses as the slavemasters.

Sorceresses proclaiming Chaos to be a freedom from tyranny of false Phoenix King usually associated themselves with Aqshy, although many were insane enough to succumb to the very lore of Slaanesh. Among the Cults of Excess the Cult of Pleasure was the far most perverted and hedonistic.

During the civil war sorceresses remained mostly hidden or stayed in Anlec. When the war was lost, it was they who tried to destroy the vortex and sent the daemons against their hated kin. But even their wicked sorcery could not best the freed wizards of the Isle of the Death and Caledor Dragontamer himself.

Yet sorceresses had more tricks than it seemed. Long ago they corrupted countless Sapherian mages. These once noble wizards were seduced by the vile maidens and studied the same forbidden arts and thus became fearsome warlocks and sorcerers.

Later they were banished from Saphery, but they took refugee among wicked sorceresses and witches of Nagarythe. With stolen knowledge of Saphery at their deposital, sorceresses turned ancient enchantments around their fortresses into hideous spells of protection which helped them to survive magical cataclysm.

Thus they created dreadful Black Arks. Sorceresses such as Anethera Helbane quickly infused their floating fortresses with incredible amount of Dhar energy, thus gaining ability to control these fearsome vessels.

Little we know about actions of sorceresses after the foundation of Naggarond. What we know for sure is that male sorcerers and warlocks Dru Perim (Black Pilgrims) quickly fell out of grace.

Morathi established the citadel of Ghrond near the Chaos Wastes. This sanctuary of Hekarti is corrupted image of our own beloved White Tower of Hoeth. There the Convent of the Sorceresses was founded.

Typical sorceress is a Dhar user worshipping Hekarti, bearer of destructive spells. The sorceresses of the convent are hired by dreadlords and highbornes of Naggaroth to fight for them in the most important battles.

The Convent is ruled by six Supreme Sorceresses. The head of the organization is the Hag Sorceress – Morathi. All sorceresses are ritually wedded to Malekith. The brides of the Witch King are on bad terms with khainaties.Bride of the Witch King

Recently sorceresses worshipping Slaanesh led an invasion under patronage of Morathi to Lustria. It is well known to us, that sorceresses are obsessed with the artifacts of the Old Ones and the Chaos Gods.

Sorceresses may but don’t have to be associated by other female magicians in Naggaroth. Hated Lady Bela, the slayer of Mormakar and Galahed, the nemesis of Arnheim, was for example witch elf of Khaine capable of quite powerful magic, but had no connection to the Convent.

The same counts for countless other seers, athartists, priestesses, enchanteresses and other evil witches among Dark Elves.

Now that you know how long evil sorceresses trouble Ulthuan and her people, dear students, do not wait and take your weapons. Join the shining armies of our people and match the cruel brides of the Witch King!

For we know where do their paths lead- to doom, damnation and emptiness. This is the fate of sorceresses and we, the battle mages of Saphery, shall help them to find their fate as quickly as possible!

The sorceresses and the daemons

The sorceresses associate themselves with Cytharai and thus with Slaanesh. Sorceresses only rarely worship any deity, they usually just make deals with them. The same counts for the Dark Prince and his daemons.

Dechala, the Denied ElfMost wicked is the tale of Dechala, one of the most ancient sorceresses. This princess from Nagarythe seduced mighty slaaneshi daemon, but the daemon prince soon became too obsessed with her.

After slaughtering her whole family, Dechala joined armies of Slaanesh and founded dreaded army of Tormentors. We loremasters know well of her curse, for she can never reach true daemonhood and thus must roam the Chaos Wastes for eternity.

Sorceresses despise daemons of Nurgle, sometimes they manipulate daemons of Khorne. They see servants of Tzeentch as their most dangerous rivals and would deal with them only in most desperate situations.

There is only one exception in the whole history of Naggarothi: mighty demonlord T´zarkan. This daemon was exalted by both Slaanesh and T´zarkan at the same time.

During the First War this daemon was bound and imprisoned by few mortal sorcerers and they used his powers against sons of Aenarion ever since. The ancient sorceresses of old dreamed of enslaving this mighty daemon, finally thus finding way to get their claws on secrets of the Changer of the Ways without losing favor of Slaanesh at the same time.

When exiled Naggarothi landed in the new world, sorceresses soon realized how close was the prison of the Prince of Revel. Their efforts to enslave him actually helped him to free himself for very short time. Thus he managed to lead an army of daemons of Slaanesh and Tzeentch to the Altar of Ultimate Darkness, where he matched Dark Elves for the first time in his life.

Surprised how much have their kind changed during centuries, Tzarkan quickly became obsessed with this race and decided to enslave them one day and become the sole god of this potential nation.

His plans were in vain from the very beginning thanks to supreme sorceress Eldire who orchestrated a set of prophecies which in the end made Tzarkan nothing but a source of power for her only son: Malus Darkblade, the Kinslayer, the Drachau of Hag Graef, the Dark Crag.

Most well known is the case of Be´Lakor, the Shadowlord. This mighty deamon is a close ally of Morathi herself. The Hag Sorceress was always troubled by influence of Tzeentch. By supporting Be´lakor she believed she could weaken grip of the Changer of the Ways on her world.Masque, Arch Succubus of Slaanesh

And she was right. Great war was fought in the Realms of Chaos between the Harbinger and Kairos, the Fateweaver. The First Lord of Change was confident about his victory, for how could he loose if he knew both past and future?

Kairos wasn´t prepared for creature as treacherous as Morathi. The Hag Sorceress knew well how to manipulate visions of the daemon and thus through forbidden knowledge of Morai Heg she lured the lord of Change into claws of Be´lakor, the Dark Master.

Sorceresses would enslave all lesser daemons and make deals only with the most powerful ones, who are beyond their power. Most notable allies of the Brides of Malekith are the Keepers of the secrets, called N´Kari, such as Ail’Slath’Sleresh (Heartslayer), Amnaich and Zarakynel.

I myself once battled the Keeper of the Secrets, who was sent to kill my brother Tyrion and our beloved Everqueen by Witch King himself and thus I know how dangerous creatures  they are. They share with druchii hatred for our kin.

Keepers of Secrets were common among armies which invaded Lustria recently and thus have proven how far are sorceresses stepped in the arts of demonology.

Very well known are also pacts with Azazel. Our loremasters confirmed that sorceresses also recently helped arch daemonette Masque to slaughter countless Asrai of Athel Loren, after Wardancer Cirienvel disturbed one of caverns of the Gods of the Underworld. Spellweaver Ranu than avenged Wood Elves as she casted K´z´arkera´ss across the world into mountains of Naggaroth, where treacherous coven of responsible sorceresses held a summit.

Sorceresses actually play quite big part in the Great Game of the Chaos Gods, for they are powerful allies of Slaanesh. Supreme Sorceresses are able to enter the Realm of Chaos and survive there thanks to their pacts with Heralds of Slaanesh. Teclis and Anorion the Green recently witnessed whole coven of sorceresses raiding on steeds of Slaanesh behind the Veil. Brides of Malekith once helped the Dark Prince to conquer small part of the Gardens of Pestilence, which immeaditely changed into wicked forest of black rotting oaks as the territory shifted from Nurgle´s to Slaanesh´s domain.

They are also known for converting whole armies of Bloodletters to the cause of Slaanesh. These slaaneshi bloodletters are called incubi. Sorceresses do not mind to wander Realm of the Ruinous Powers ( surface of the Realms of Chaos ), they shall only rarely however vistit either Mirai ( underworld under Slaanesh´s domain ) or Heavens of Cadai. Why do they hesitate to go there is beyond our knowledge.

Magic the Gathering: Sezax of Utvara

Září 22, 2009

Deed in an ancient forest appeared a girl. Actually…it wasn’t a typical forest. And the visitor just looked as a girl. Under branches of giant trees waited dark water prepared to swallow not enough careful visitors from above so this place was something between salt marsh and flooded jungle.

The she-creature was standing on floating rotting remains of a dead tree when two strange creatures appeared. They looked like female elves, except for a fact that they possessed strange kind of wings.

“Liliana Vess?” asked the creatures. Their voices were melodic and beautiful. The female planeswalker also sensed some amount of blue mana in them despite their obvious elven origin. They reminded her of now all but extinct elven biomancers of Simic Combine back on Ravnica.

“That’s me,” nodded planeswalker. “Where is your master?”

“He is waiting for you in his palace, mighty one. We are supposed to escort you to the Pit of Shadow from where you shall be teleported.” answered the flying creatures.

Liliana found this whole place incredibly disturbing. It wasn’t just those slimy predators in the water, the giant serpents among branches of rotting trees or omnipresent ruins. No. She could deal with these wretched creatures easily and the sight of destruction always pleased her wicked heart.

It was the very nature of this place. Local ecosystem was both in perverted balance and amusing disharmony at the same time. As a powerful mage she could sense only huge amount of black, blue and green mana here, which was something very unusual when it came to “natural” environments.

“What is this place?” asked Liana. All she knew was that she is on some small island on Dominara.

“This island has no name. It is all what remains of once lush forests of Argoth, which were destroyed during the Brothers` War.”

“Urza and Mishra?!,” gasped Liliana. The Brothers of old were one of the few creatures for which she had some respect.

“Legends of our people claim they visited Argoth personally,” replied elven creature.

“So your people are native to this land?”

“Not exactly…,” hesitated the one with dark blue wings.”In the time of Urza there were just ordinary elves on Argoth. But the Brothers` War caused an event called Ice Age. The remaining elves fought hard to survive.”

“And then came the Phyrexians,” continued the second one. “Vast amount of Aether energy hit many regions on Dominaria including this island. Thus our elven ancestors mutated into something more. We are called Gaea`s Skyfolk.”

Liliana Vess just nodded. Sezax of Utvara was always obsessed with Aether and its effects on life. No wonder he found these creatures so exciting. Their presence could be the sole reason for living on this island.

“Tell me, minions, how does your master keep red and white mana away from this island?”

“We do not know, mighty one. We have no knowledge of arcane arts,”

Suddenly a huge complex of ruins appeared among dying trees. The stones were overgrown with vile plants typical for local swamp-like area. Both skymaidens flew away and much darker creatures approached the planeswalker.

They were beautiful white-haired women clothed in heavy black robes. Black mana and vile magic of flowstones surrounded these spellhapers as they surrounded her.

“We are the Brides of Sezax, the mistresses of death. We shall escort you to the teleport, holy one,” said the oldest.

These vile women were obviously obsessed with raw dark power seeping from this wicked planeswalker. Liliana realized she could easily convert these mean creatures. Their necromancy could be very useful…

They led her to a cleft in the middle of overgrown ruins and deep down to the underworld.

Lilliana was obsessed with this place. Local flooded ruins reminded her of underground dungeons of the former House Dimir. Everywhere around moved shifting shadows. Most mortals would not even notice these events, but Liliana, mistress of Dark Arts, immediately recognized them as legendary Shadowmage infiltrators. Just a fact that Sezax could call upon these fearsome mages amused her. He could indeed help her…

There had to be at least dozen of them and they carefully were carefully watching passing priestesses. Some of them whispered from time to time:”Undertakers.”

Lilian supposed that “undertakers” was a pejorative name for her companions. Shadowmages and Undertakers were probably rivals, which was natural of course.

“How does Sezax get rid of white and red mana?” asked she again.

“He doesn`t. He lives in a center of this island, where all five colors of mana can be found. His City of Brass is surrounded by desert, where he through special magic accumulates all white and red mana creating thus unpenetrable barricade around his home,”

“Unpenetrable?”

“That small desert is literally soaked in white and red mana, thus creating a field of incredible heat. He changed island this way as soon as he arrived. We believe he is afraid that someone might follow him here…someone powerful and angry…,” continued the oldest Undertaker with a quick glance at Liliana.

“Don’t look at me. Sezax is my old ally. I have no idea who could he be afraid of.”

Finally arriving to the teleporting device, Liliana stepped towards the portal. Magic gripped her firmly and she felt herself being cast across half of the island. As an experienced planeswalker she felt completely fine and confident while she stepped out of the energy into Sezax`s City of Brass.

Above her head flied dozen birds of paradise and she had to admit she was quite impressed by Sezax`s brass mansion.  This place was not only filled with mana. It was luxurious and safe.

Sezax of Utvara, one of few mortals she could call an ally, stepped into her view. He had changed a lot. His magic had changed him a lot. More than even she dared to guess.

She met him as a mere human boy, who was born into quite rich family from Utvara on Ravnica. He soon became an excellent biomancer of Simic Combine. They had lot in common.

They both possessed planeswalker spark and they were both afraid of aging and death. They both believed only black mana can provide absolute immortality.

While she turned to demonical sorcery, necromancy and dealings with demons, he tried to create new kind of magic which would fulfill his desires.

Secretly, behind backs of other biomancers, he contacted Savra. Savra had a title of Matka, which meant she was a queen of Devkarin dark elves and possessed mighty shamanistic powers. These specific abilities resembled both druidism and necromancy at the same time.

She told him about her allegiance to Szadek, guildmaster of the House Dimir. Together these two villains hoped to take control of all guilds of Ravnica.

Sezax cared little about these things for he all he wanted was to master magical lore of three guilds: Simic, Dimir and Golgari.

He almost completed creation of this new unique magic when plans of both Savra and Szadek failed. Hunted by new government of Ravnica Sezax had to use his planeswalker spark in order to escape.

That was the last time she heard of him. Until recently…

“Nice to see you, lady Liliana. You look more beautiful and young than ever.”

He had really changed a lot. His voice was a voice of wraith. He barely resembled human now. His skin was even paler than before, he possessed vampire fangs, his hair was white as snow, but most terrifying were his eyes.

When you looked into burning eyes of Liliana Vess, you were just scared, but gaze of this creature made you feel confused, uncertain and fascinated. At first sight they seemed utterly black, but if you looked deeper you suddenly saw emerald spark filled with…

Taking control over herself she finally answered:”So do you, Sezax. I like your palace. It looks safe, useful and comfortable,”

Offering her his arm he led her to his library. She was fascinated. There were tomes of ancient liches from Urbog, spellbooks from Tolaria, scrolls about Fae Queen Oona of Lorwyn and much more.

There was also a huge table covered with books and mysterious artifacts. In the center Liana saw a little box with a symbol of green mana.

“What is this?”
“These are remains of Titania. She was a Maro-Sorceress just like legendary Multani. She was killed during Brothers` War, but her corpse was preserved thanks to local elven druids,”

“Hm. So you hope to obtain immortality by studying her?”asked Lilian while carefully eying the box.

“Well there are many ways to prolong life. I hope to find a way how through biomancery  become a hybrid between Maro-Sorcerer and Fae King. Until then I experiment with necromancery and vampiric blood,”

Liliana Vess seemed little tense. Perhaps it wasn’t a good idea to come here. Technically he had no reason to help her. And despite having the same boyish face as before, there was old and sharp mind behind those disturbing eyes.

In the end she just said:”I have an offer,”

BGU CONTROL

….

Undertakers were summoning black mana, demonic carrions were feasting upon bloody bones and both planeswalkers were nervously watching them. Liliana looked at her fair-weather-ally again and then whispered: ,,You remind me of Sorin Markov,“

„Who?“ answered the pale boy-looking creature.

,,Never mind,“ sighed Vess and looked around.

They were in dark ruined temple, surrounded by bones older then some worlds. Huge deep pit filled with purple fire was whispering to them, trying to lure them closer. They know what fate would await them if they would be seduced and so they decided to stay away sending there their fellow spellshapers instead.

Around forty Undertakers, beautiful human girls, cried vile praises while channeling their dark spell. Finally a cloud of void-like energy rose up from the cleft and  huge tome appeared on the ancient pedestal before the pit. Liliana gasped in enjoyment and raised the book towards the buring sky.

,,Its it! Its it!“ cried the mad witch and began with searching for the page which would save her beauty and soul.

,,I am happy for you, but I have still no idea where we are and how are we gonna get back on Argoth,“ noted Sezax of Utvara.

,,We are on Ashtok, the homeworld of demons. Where else could the Tales of the Forgotten Ones be?“said Liliana Vess while caressing the book.

Then a terrible roar echoed across whole Valley of Shadows. Countless cultists, demons and undead ran into the temple and started to slaughter the Undertakes. Then a leader of this assault appeared next to Liliana and trided to cut her head off. She was Lyzolda, the new Blood Witch of Rakdos Cult. Liliana wanted to punish this puny creature for her insolence, when a powerful red lightning hit her.

Sezax spotted a tall creature in a red hood casting another spell. Such powerful individual had to be a planeswalker. Rakdos was obviously not as weak as Teysa Karlov of Ravnica thought. And Lyzolda had to pay a terrible price to ally herself with this creature.

Vampire-looking planeswalker decided to help his Undertakers, who were being torn apart by furious Rakdos, when he realised that Rakdos planeswalker was channeling to much mana. Then it happenned. Huge amount of crimson and ebony energy materialized into Rakdos the Defiler, the demon-god.

Sezax was lucky to have his specific magic art, which allowed him to cast very different spells at the same time. While summoning shadowmages as a support for his dying spellshapers, he simply waved his hand in order to quickly unsummon the demon-god

Rakdos summoner hissed in fury, cause all his great effort was ruined just by the simpliest blue spell ever discovered by Tolarian Academy. Meanwhile Liliana and Lyzolda still fought like cats over the book. Lyzolda knew she was no planeswalker like her rival so she decided to dont give any chance to Vess to cast any of her spells. But she was still no match for Liliana, without planeswalker-spark she was no true danger.

Liliana finally casted bolt of purple light into a face of the Blood Witch when the Rakdos planeswalker managed to summon his demon-god for a second time. Sezax did not wait and raised his long pale bony finger towards wounded Lyzolda. Blood Witch cried in terror as her flesh began to rot away. It was a spell of Matkas, necromantic matriarchs of Devkarin dark elves and Liliana had to admitt she was impressed by its power.

Sezax then used all his remaining mana to cummulate a huge quantity of black and green energy in order to summon his favourite pet. Vess has mistaken it for a demon at first. It was huge, brown skinned, with big black curled horns and giant fists. Impressive organ in a middle of its chest was leaking of spririts, but demons were rarely associated with green mana.

No. It was the legendary Spiritmonger, one of the most terrible creations of Phyreaxian invasion. It was not technically a demon, but it was powerful enough to chalenge Rakdos the Defiler. Both titans clashed in a middle of the temple, crushing surviving warriors under them.

Rakdos planeswalker seemed exhausted after summoning his triumph for a second time, but Liliana gave him no time to rest. She casted awful curse upon him and began listing in her book in oder to find the right spell how to get out of here.

Sezax was coughing blood, it was an unwanted effect of using black, green and blue mana at the same time. His magical lore was not perfect. Despite being so powerful and versatile it hurted his own body.

She listed through biographies of demons like Kuro the Pitlord, Malfegor and Gix when she finally found what she sought. Liliana Vess grabbed Sezax and casted her spell just as Rakdos teh Defiler crushed a skull of the Spiritmonger.

Gorgon_Recluse_640

Sezax finally stopped caughing blood, when Liliana decided to leave. With book in her hands she had no reason to stay here. With a sigh she gave Sezax silver box wrapped in iron.

„There: the cells of Momir Vig, Savra and Szadek. And here is a copy of the book, but I removed two pages, which would allow you to follow me,“

„Since when are you so honest and straight?“ laughed Sezax. He took the box with the remains of his former allies from her hands and then started to bleed again.

As soon as demonical sorceresses left, two dark creatures emerged from the shadows of his brass library. Ludmilla of the Sisters of teh Stone Death and Visara the Dreadful came to their wounded master just as he rose up. Ludmilla took the box and left without a word. She knew what she was suppossed to do. On Argoth resided countless elven refugees exiled from all planes of the Multiuniverse including the shamanistic guildmages of Golgari Swarm. These Devkarin elves will easily bring these three wicked guildmasters back to life. Gorgon had no idea why would her new master want to have these treachearous creatures back and she did not care.

Visara did not like her medusae comrade. When it came to watching over plans of her master she was very jealous. His unique magic, strange combination of different arcane arts, was obviously damaging his body with its unnatural structure. The planeswalker took of his dreadful hood reaveling thus his boyish face. For whole Argoth he was scary ancient warlock, for his loyal gorgon he was but a weak boy who needed protection.

„We need to go, master. Ana wants to see you,“

Ana was waiting for him in the middle of one of many swamps on Argoth. She too looked like mere girl, but this creature was incredibly old. When Sezax escaped from Ravnica, he was desperately trying to fuse magic of necrosages, biomancers and matkas. Then he met her. Ana was incredibly ancient witch. Sezax admired her so much. She taught him so much. If only Liliana knew how easy it was to be eternaly young, she would not have to make those mad deals with demons.

Without a word Ana grabbed his arm and planeswalked instantly. They appeared on a strange place full of Karys, energy very rare across the Multiuniverse, which could be prepared in laboratory by mixing black, green and blue mana. They were in strange flooded rainforest, which was full of life and death at the same time. She led him to a great cavern before them.

„I was once an archdruid of Dominaria you know,“ said Ana.“Perhaps you read about me. I was called Greensleeves, I had brothers Keldon and Gal. When Phyrexians attacked I was desperate. Then I planeswalked here. Here, where it all began. Here the life first appeared, here it first evolved, from here it expanded to rest of the universe,“

Then they suddenly stood before the cave. There were two huge stubs, two huge corpses of two titanic decaying corpses of ancient trees. These two living fungal shamblers moved aside and Ana caressed cheek od apprentice.

„HereI learned that, what we call the Sad Truth. Now you are about to learn it too. Make your choice, boy. If you go inside you learn about this sad secret. You will become one of us, one of the the Keepers of the Misunderstood. You will gain magic you sought so hard, the immortality you have done so much for. I made my choice once. As an archdruid with shamanistic, arcane and necromantic powers I became a powerful enemy of the Phyrexians. On Urbog they all feared me. Lichlord Dralnu called me Ana. I saw the fall of Yawgmoth. I saw much, I experienced a lot. But it hurts to learn the truth. Choose your destiny, Sezax of Utvara.“

And he chose. He entered. Inside was one of the oldest beings, the Elder Dragon- Vorosh the Hunter. Under him was a pool of black liquid. Sezax took of his clothes and came into the freezing pool. Obsidian water surronded him. Thus he learned. There was no fire, no light. Only Karys. There was a balance of five colors when it came to the universe, but not when it came to life and truth. Truth was sad, meaningless, scary. White and red mana gave things purpouse, but a false one, the only one.

Life and all his history was iniciated by incredibly stupid coincidence and nothing more. Now he understood. Now he knew. Now he was immortal, one of the few planeswalkers who learned the Sad Truth. Now he was Sezax of Utvara, the Keeper of the Misuderstood…
